Cover for DEME’s contract related to offshore wind farms in Taiwan

In 2022, Credendo introduced its Credendo Green Package, providing a number of incentives for transactions that have a positive impact on the environment.

One of the transactions that is benefitting from this opportunity is DEME’s contract for the construction of the Greater Changhua 2b and 4 offshore wind farms in Taiwan. DEME will perform seabed levelling and rock installation works. The overall development of the projects is being undertaken by Ørsted, a world leader in offshore wind energy and very active in Taiwan.

The two wind farms will have a capacity of 920 MW and should be completed by the end of 2025. They will play an important role in Taiwan’s ambitious green energy targets.

In May 2024, Credendo – Export Credit Agency issued a policy to DEME Offshore, the offshore industry segment of the DEME Group, to cover this transaction in a country that is vital for the group. We are pleased to provide DEME with an increased coverage percentage for this sustainable project through our Credendo Green Package.
