Credendo increases support for the Belgian aeronautics sector

Belgium is home to a highly specialised aeronautics industry, with numerous Belgian companies providing state-of-the-art components, technologies and expertise.

To further support this strategic and export-oriented ecosystem, Credendo is now also applying its credit insurance capabilities to aviation financing.

More specifically, Credendo is now able to support the financing of aircraft deliveries to airlines, facilitating their acquisition of these long-term assets. The contemplated transactions are asset-based financings, underwritten by a dedicated Specialised Finance team within Credendo.

Through this approach, Credendo has recently provided support to Airbus, thereby confirming and strengthening the position of Belgian suppliers in Airbus’ global supply chain.

This first landmark transaction, in which Credendo provided credit insurance for the financing of several Airbus aircraft (see the press release), marks Credendo’s entry into aircraft finance in support of Belgian companies and their international development.
