Credendo is pleased to announce that the group has received the CO2-Neutral label “OFFICE” for the third time (based on the figures of 2020). Credendo has been measuring its carbon footprint since 2010, and managed to reduce it by almost one third between then and 2019. As a year marked by the Covid-19 crisis, the carbon footprint of 2020 decreased even more, by 49% in absolute emissions (635.8 tCO2e) compared to 2019 (1,164.0 tCO2e).

Continuing its efforts to increase the quality and precision of the methodology used to evaluate its carbon footprint, Credendo asked CO2logic, the external consultant responsible for the calculation, to include the carbon footprint of information technology (IT).

Given that some emissions cannot be avoided, Credendo compensates those emissions by supporting a project in Ghana that aims at reducing CO2 emissions by limiting charcoal production, which causes deforestation.
