Conference on Export Controls & Economic Sanctions
As EU and US trade regulations continue to evolve, businesses need to stay compliant with export controls and economic sanctions.
On 22 October 2024, ICC Belgium and the FEB will organise, in partnership with Credendo, the 9th edition of the Conference on Export Controls & Economic Sanctions. The event will address the growing impact of geopolitical tensions and the increasing extraterritorial reach of sanctions, particularly focusing on measures targeting Russia and China.
Key topics will cover challenges in preventing circumvention, managing foreign subsidiaries in compliance with EU/US sanctions and understanding the broader implications for EU industry, as well as compliance and risk management when doing business with Russia and China.
Speakers will include: experts in international trade, such as Alina Nedea (European Commission), Scot Gonzales (U.S. Department of Commerce), Kevin Verbelen (Agoria), as well as representatives from European and American law firms, Susan Kovarovics (Akin Gump USA) and Bert Gevers (Loyens & Loeff Brussels).
