While global trade remains affected by geopolitical tensions and supply chain disruptions, climate change, human rights and responsible business conduct remain important and growing challenges for businesses worldwide. In our newly published Sustainability Report 2025, we explain how, at Credendo, we incorporate environmental, social and governance (ESG) considerations into our decision-making and operations.

One of the report’s key highlights is the growing uptake of the Credendo Green Package. In 2025, green incentives were granted to 32 transactions, representing EUR 1.1 billion in cover, up from 27 transactions and EUR 839 million in 2024. The supported projects spanned sectors such as solar energy, offshore wind, green hydrogen, biomass and water treatment, illustrating how the Credendo Green Package continues to facilitate sustainable investments across a broad range of technologies. This trend is also reflected in Credendo – Export Credit Agency’s portfolio. By the end of 2025, the power generation sector, mainly from renewable energy, had become our largest sector.

The report also provides insights into Credendo’s operational carbon footprint. In 2025, our total operational emissions amounted to 5,391 tCO₂e, equivalent to approximately 10 tCO₂e per FTE. During that year, we continued our efforts to improve data quality, deepen the understanding of our environmental impact, and identify opportunities to reduce emissions across key categories. As part of Credendo’s climate strategy, we also continued to contribute to certified climate projects as a means of taking responsibility for our emissions.

Further progress was achieved through tangible operational measures, including the continued electrification of the company car fleet, the expansion of our charging infrastructure and strengthened waste management efforts.

On the social and governance fronts, the report highlights gender balance, key workforce distribution and employee development initiatives. It also confirms that Credendo successfully achieved its target of 90% participation in mandatory anti-bribery and corruption training at Group level by the end of 2025. Together, these developments reflect Credendo’s ongoing commitment to transparency, responsible business practices and continuous improvement in sustainability performance.
