Power generation has become Credendo’s largest sector

The energy transition continues to shape investment decisions across many industries, creating new opportunities for companies involved in renewable energy, clean technologies and other sustainable projects abroad. Access to the right financing and risk mitigation solutions remains therefore essential.

Through its Credendo Green Package, Credendo helps exporters develop projects that have a positive environmental or social impact, and in doing so contributes to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and the climate goals of the Paris Agreement.

Eligible transactions can benefit from favourable insurance and financing conditions, including increased cover up to 98%, support for domestic transactions with export potential, as well as extended financing possibilities and repayment terms. The Credendo Green Package brings together some of Credendo's most advantageous insurance and financing conditions. Last year, 32 transactions benefitted from incentives under the Credendo Green Package, representing a total cover amount of EUR 1.1 billion.

The trend towards increased investment in sustainable projects is also visible in Credendo – Export Credit Agency’s portfolio. At the end of 2025, the power generation sector, mainly from renewable energy, moved from fourth position at the end of 2019 to first position at the end of 2025.
