Changes to the Credendo GDPR Business Charter
We have updated our Credendo GDPR Business Charter, which outlines how we collect and process your personal data. Because your privacy is important to us, we recently reviewed this charter to make its structure and content clearer than before, and to ensure it remains up to date and compliant with the latest regulations.
Below, you will find a brief explanation of the key changes:
- Clearer structure of various data processing activities: Our data processing activities are now organised around different scenarios based on how you interact with Credendo. For example, this includes when you visit our website, use our online applications, subscribe to our marketing newsletters, or do business with us as a client or partner. This revised structure provides a more tailored and understandable explanation of what personal data we collect in each scenario, why we process it, on what legal grounds, and how we obtain this personal data. We would like to highlight that the range of personal data we process, as well as the specific purposes for which we process this information, have been described in greater detail and may in some cases cover additional aspects compared to previous versions of our charter. For this reason, we strongly encourage you to carefully read the updated charter so that you are fully informed about the scope and transparency of our data processing and data protection practices.
- Section relating to the use of our online applications and related services: The charter now details how we process personal data when you use our online applications and related services. Previously, the processing of personal data in the context of using these applications was described in separate privacy policies. The review of this charter has enabled us to fully integrate this information, improving both transparency and comprehensibility.
- References to our cookie policy: The updated charter now explicitly refers to our cookie policy and provides additional details regarding the use of cookies. This was previously only described in our cookie policy, which remains unaltered. For instance, the charter now explains when we seek your consent for cookies (e.g. for analytics or marketing) and when we may rely on legitimate interests for essential cookies which are necessary to operate our website and applications.
- International transfer of personal data (for Credendo – Guarantees & Speciality Risks only): The charter of Credendo – Guarantees & Speciality Risk now explicitly foresees the possibility that personal data may be transferred outside the EU, in order to align with the GDPR Business Charters of the other entities of the group. Currently, no such transfers of personal data exist. Should an international transfer occur in the future, it will always be subject to stringent security and legal measures to ensure that personal data remains protected in accordance with GDPR standards.
Please read the updated Credendo GDPR Business Charter on our website for full information.
We want to reassure you that Credendo does not sell or rent your personal data to third parties and only shares it with trusted parties as needed and explained in our charter, and this always under strict conditions. If your personal data should be transferred outside the EU, we ensure it is protected in line with GDPR standards.
Your rights under the GDPR remain unchanged, and you can still, amongst other things, access, correct or delete your personal data, or object to certain processing activities.
